Before and After Gallery

The short answer In brief

Will Be Plastic Surgery does not display before-and-after photographs publicly, in line with Korean medical advertising rules. Photographs are shown to logged-in viewers who have consented to view clinical images, or during a consultation with Dr. Kim Jun-young. Every result is individual, and photographs of others cannot predict your own outcome.

Why are before-and-after photos restricted?

Korea's Medical Service Act and related medical advertising rules limit how clinics may use before-and-after photographs. The rules aim to prevent images from creating misleading expectations or being used as unverified promotion.

Will Be follows these rules. Rather than publishing a public gallery, the clinic shows clinical photographs in controlled settings, with the consent of the patients who appear in them.

How can I see results?

  • Logged-in, consented viewing. Where the website offers a restricted gallery, it is available to registered users who confirm they wish to view clinical images. [GALLERY ACCESS DETAILS TO CONFIRM]
  • During consultation. Dr. Kim can show relevant examples in person, alongside an explanation of the anatomy and technique involved.
  • Online consultation. Some examples may be shared during a virtual consultation where appropriate.

How to look at before-and-after photos

Photographs are most useful when you look at them critically. Consider:

  • Are lighting, angle and expression the same in both images?
  • How long after surgery was the after photo taken? Early swelling changes appearance a great deal.
  • Does the starting anatomy resemble yours, for example skin thickness, crease or brow position?
  • Is the change in keeping with the person's face, or does it look applied from outside?

Our guide on what natural results actually mean discusses this further.

Individual results vary

No photograph predicts your own result. Healing depends on skin quality, scar tendency, anatomy, age, health and how closely aftercare is followed. For revision patients, previous surgery adds further variables. Dr. Kim discusses realistic expectations for your case in consultation. Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

Still wondering about something? Ask Dr. Kim directly — every consultation at Will Be is with the surgeon himself.

Why doesn't Will Be show a public before-and-after gallery?

Korean medical advertising rules restrict the public use of before-and-after photographs. Will Be follows these rules and instead shows clinical images to consented, logged-in viewers or during consultation. This also helps ensure photographs are viewed with appropriate context about individual variation.

Can I see examples similar to my case?

Yes, during a consultation Dr. Kim can show relevant examples where patients have consented to their images being shown. He will also explain how your anatomy is similar or different, because two people with the same procedure can heal quite differently.

Do before-and-after photos show typical results?

Photographs show individual outcomes, not assured ones. Results depend on anatomy, healing, age and aftercare. When viewing any clinic's photos, consider lighting, angle, time since surgery and whether the starting point resembles yours.

When is a final result visible?

It depends on the procedure. After eyelid surgery, most swelling settles over several weeks, but the crease and scar continue to refine for several months. Rhinoplasty and lifting procedures can take longer. Your surgeon will confirm the expected timeline for your operation.

Will my photos be used without permission?

No. Clinical photographs are taken for your medical record and are not used for any other purpose without your separate, explicit consent. You can decline consent to any use beyond your medical care. See the privacy policy for more detail.
