High Crease Correction Before and After Photos Korea

A double eyelid crease that sits too high can make the eyes look heavy, fixed or surprised. In these three cases Dr. Kim lowered the crease: two as part of incisional ptosis correction and one as a revision of earlier surgery.

What to look at in these photos

  • The distance between the lashes and the crease with the eyes open.
  • Whether the lid looks lighter and less fixed, and whether a deep line remains when looking down.
  • How the crease balances with eye opening. A high crease often comes with weak eye opening.

When the result settles

After revision eyelid surgery, visible swelling usually eases over 2–4 weeks, but the fold keeps softening for months. Crease height is best judged once it has fully settled, often 6–12 months after a revision.

Lighting, angle and the time since surgery all change how a photo looks, so compare like with like.

Frequently asked questions

Can a crease that is too high be lowered?

Often, yes, though it is one of the more demanding corrections. The old attachment is released, the crease is recreated lower, and soft tissue is placed between the layers to stop the old line reattaching.

How much lower can the crease go?

It depends on how much skin and soft tissue remain between the lashes and the brow. Where skin is short the improvement may be partial, and Dr. Kim explains the likely range after examining you.

How long after my first surgery should I wait?

Early swelling makes a crease look higher than it will finally be, so let the first surgery heal fully before deciding, usually several months. Signs of infection or difficulty closing the eye need attention sooner.
