Revision Eye Surgery Before and After Photos Korea

Revision eye surgery is a second or later operation to correct an earlier eyelid result: a fold that loosened or sits too high, uneven eye opening, scarring, or a lid that still looks heavy. All 13 cases were planned and operated by Dr. Kim, the clinic’s only surgeon.

What to look at in these photos

  • Whether the new crease moves naturally as the eyes open and close.
  • Symmetry between the two eyes, which earlier surgery often disturbs.
  • How the old scar was handled. Where sensible it is included in the new incision so that only one line remains.

When the result settles

Swelling usually lasts longer after revision than after a first operation, because scar tissue slows drainage. Most visible swelling eases over 2–4 weeks, and the final result is judged at around 6–12 months.

Lighting, angle and the time since surgery all change how a photo looks, so compare like with like.

Frequently asked questions

How soon after my first surgery can I have revision?

Usually once the first surgery has fully healed, often at least six months, and longer if the scar is still red or firm. Problems such as an exposed or infected suture may be seen sooner.

Can revision fix everything?

It can often improve crease height, symmetry, scars and weak eye opening. It cannot restore skin that has already been removed or make scar tissue disappear, and the result is less predictable than a first operation.

Do I need records from my previous surgery?

They help but are not essential. Bring what you have, with photos from before your first operation if possible; much can be assessed directly at examination.
