What to look at in these photos
- How soft the crease looks with the eyes open. This method suits low-to-medium folds.
- Whether the fold follows the natural curve of the lid from the inner to the outer corner.
- The absence of an incision line: only tiny entry points are used.
When the result settles
Most visible swelling settles within 3–7 days and the fold usually looks settled by 1–2 months. The sutures are buried, so there are usually none to remove.
Lighting, angle and the time since surgery all change how a photo looks, so compare like with like.
Frequently asked questions
Is there any scar with a non-incisional double eyelid?
There is no incision line. The sutures go in through tiny openings that most people find hard to see within a few weeks.
Can I choose a high fold with this method?
Fold height is chosen within what suits your lid and previewed before surgery. Very high folds are better made with the incisional method, so a non-incisional fold is usually low to medium.
Who is not suited to a non-incisional double eyelid?
Thick or heavily hooded lids, or lids with a lot of excess skin or fat, usually do better with incisional surgery. Dr. Kim checks skin thickness, fat and eye opening before recommending a method.
